The Green Shed: The Sea Room

Settle in and breathe out at the most northerly and secluded property on Iona. A place to relax. Set in unspoiled croftland it is well away from the public road and just a three minute walk across the grass to white sandy beaches. There are three separate apartments, all different, but all having comfy beds, lots of books and well equipped kitchens.

The Sea Room (Sleeps 10).

The Sea Room is a large and comfortable apartment and is the perfect place to relax, kick off your shoes and enjoy the quiet of the island with your family or friends. There is a huge wooden table to sit around, tatty old Persian rugs, far too many books, comfy sofas and no TV. There is, as a concession to the modern world, excellent WiFi.

Traighmor

Traighmor Cottage is situated on a quiet croft 10 minutes walk from the village and has beautiful sea views.

The house sleeps four in two rooms (one double and one twin).

The fully-equipped kitchen includes a dishwasher, washing machine and tumble drier, and the lounge has satellite TV. There’s no internet, but it is possible to get access via 4G from the mast near Fionnphort. Bedlinen and towels are provided.

Our rate is amongst the most affordable on Iona and includes electricity.

Machair House

Machair House sits in the heart of a 30 acre working croft 15 minutes walk from the village. The house comfortably sleeps 7 people across 3 bedrooms and features stunning sea views.

The house is fully equipped for self-catering and includes free wifi & smart TV. Bed linen, bath sheets & hand towels are provided. Weekly rates included utilities. 

Machair has been reviewed as ‘Exceptional’ on booking.com & offers a truly authentic Iona experience. Available Sat-Sat. Long term winter lets will be considered on application.

A homely little apartment. It is very simple with a double bedroom, a well equipped kitchen with table and chairs, hall with bookshelves and shower room. Facing south to catch the sun it has it’s own little garden and bench - perfect for a lazy lunch.

The Studio is a wee home with a big heart. In true studio style the kingsize bed, armchairs, bookshelves and kitchen have been shoe-horned into the one room. Wide windows look out over the machair to the sea.

Cnoc Oran is a modernised croft house situated on a working croft, the house is on the west side of Iona and is a 5 minute walk from the Machair/Golf course.
The house comfortably sleeps 6 (in three bedrooms) with 3 bathrooms, a bright living room, fully equipped kitchen diner, formal dining room, porch with laundry facilities and a front garden. Please email for more information and to book.
